Airplane Prize

Each year ArtBots awards two prizes at the end of the show: The Audience Choice Award and the Robots' Choice Award (chosen by the participating artists). This year we commissioned a "made from scratch" model airplane from Phillip Isohe of Kenya as the Artists' Choice Award. The plane is made completely from scrap materials and feature functioning lights and propeller, as well as highly detailed interior and engine components.

Phillip is unfortunately not able to come to Dublin, but we have a video interview with him that will be looping throughout the show.

Phillip Isohe is a metal fabricator in the jua kali, non-traditional industrial sector, in Kenya. In his spare time he builds models of airplanes and buses.
